Purifying Neem Scrub

For the people who have issues with keeping those pimples off your face and are giving up on what to do. If you have a way getting your hands on Himalaya products than this is  a MUST HAVE .

I have always battled with keeping my face spot and pimple clear, to a point that I thought that this is just something I have to live with. Until I have tried out the Purifying Neem scrub.

The result is instant and with daily use your skin does get this beautiful glow without any blemishes. But it has a trick to it, if you already have painful acne I would NOT  recommend using it as a scrub, but instead, you should just wash your face with water and put a small amount of the scrub on the affected area. Once the issues with pain spots is gone, start using the scrub as intended , but not before!

With the daily use, don't go beyond once a day since it does tend to dry out your skin massively , you will see the result within a week guaranteed.  The only downside of it is, you have to make sure you start using a good moisturizer for your face after the daily routine, or you will be running the risk f getting dry spots.

Fashion Lockdown

For the past two days due to holidays I was able to kick away my heels, make up and dresses. Even if I am in love with dressing up and put a mask of make up on myself, if you have to do it on a daily basis, there is nothing better than catching a break from all of it!

I could catch up on actual news, find out what is going on in the world, game on my laptop and walk around in shorts and a t-shirt, no make up and not caring at all how my hair looks like.

Plus, this break gave me some time to work on personal projects, I'm working on changing the apartment where I live and do illustrations for a story blog ( never thought I would do anything remotely close to it, but it's turning out to be quite fun ).

But now in a few hours, I have to put on my heels again, my battle make up   and pick a pretty dress and go off to the world of becoming a Fashion Designer. May Gods be with me in this journey... ha ha ha...

Busy Busy Busy

I keep making and remaking plans to work on this blog, just to let my fashion opinions out, but life keeps annoyingly getting in the way.

For the past weeks the College was taking up a bit too much time, more than I would prefer, but I should not complain since I'm studying something I wanted to for a while - Fashion Design.

The first exams are finally behind me, even though I bumped into quite an unusual situation. The examiner, for some reason, decided not to like me and gave me a lower grade. I had no idea that educators in the Fashion Industry will do what they can to sabotage you at the first chance they get, no matter how petty it would be.

The first Fashion project is behind me as well! Luckily, it went well, even though it was a roller coaster to the point of tears (the sewing machine wouldn't work, my presentation book got destroyed by a car, had to finish most of the work by hand last minute). But this was a great experience of working under massive pressure, and I ended up being the only one who received a certificate for it. Extremely happy!

Now
I'm working on two projects at the same time. First one is to design a morph of a traditional Japanese garment with a modern style, and the second one to do an expansion of a brand. With all the hassle that is going on in my life at the moment, I will need as many good luck wishes as I can get.

Oversize your closet and get comfy. Autumn/Winter 2014

I'm falling in love more and more with the trends poking out this season! It seems that fashion is about to get extremely comfy which, lets admit, does not happen so often. So ladies, get ready to grab the bull by the horn and not snooze this one.

Now you don't only have to feel comfortable at home in your boyfriend's top or maybe that too big and too wide sweater that you have found in your mothers closet, while giving your body a rest from all that pinching from too tight clothes. Now it's the latest fashion , it looks and feels extremely comfortable , but yet it has this fascinating romantic stylish look.

So lets give our tank tops, tight dresses and tight jeans a rest! Give our aching bodies some rest, breathe properly , since nothing has to be sucked in anymore  and get your closet Comfy and Grungy .

These are a few of my favourite looks I have discovered, that are serious must tries :

Isabel Marant

Derek Lam, Prabal Gurung and Karen Walker

Autumn/Winter 2014/15 Trends

As it seems, this season offers a quite big variety when it comes to fashion, which gives you an opportunity to create your own fashion sense in what you would feel more comfortable without being labeled as a so called Fashion victim.

Color Trends

The color Trend is quite wide this time  , covering everything from a bright jewel to a grey mouse  , it includes everything your heart might desire and your mood would prefer :

Brights colors , Soft tones and Neutral tones.

 Bright Colors :

Soft Tones :

Neutral Tones :

Hair Trends

It seems that the main hair trend this time would be so simple, that anyone would look beautiful with it , giving you that romantic flawless beauty look.  The trending colors include anything natural looking with a slight red tint to it or a dark blond tone, as long as it looks natural.

And as far for the hair-does, it seems that simplicity is the word .  Let your hair down and just enjoy the wind playing with it, no matter if it's straight, wavy or curly. As well as just a sleek ponytail or a messy up doe.

The key words for the hair : No fuss!

Beauty 101

This is a simple post, but yet, people tend to forget this when it comes to looking beautiful.

The basic beauty tip I have discovered as a  Make-up artist over the past years : the ton of make up on your face and puffed up hair will make no difference and in fact it might make you look worse, by looking older and more tired.  If the beauty does not come from within ( yes, here you can laugh about how generic this might sound , but it's a generic and most common fact for a reason ) all the expensive products you use, will not rescue you.

Your body, hair , nails etc,  they have to feel relaxed and well rested in order for you to feel beautiful (beauty also comes from feeling comfortable in your own skin) , that means, you need to treat yourself sometimes to achieve it. Which never means that you have to go to Beauty Salons or buy expensive lotions. The best way to achieve your own natural beauty before putting on any make up or clothes, is to Relax and there's no better way to relax than doing it at home in your own comfort zone.

I will divide this topic into several sections , to avoid making it too big and too dry .

                                      Treat your Skin :

For all those people who think that their skin does not have enough moisture, radiance or just needs a lift up. There's nothing better than mixing up some grounded coffee and any oil that you already have at home and simply mixing it up together.

The reason why I'm not including sugar in this list, even though a lot of coffee scrubs do, it does not work for any skin type , it would be up to you to see if it fits your skin type. But don't mix it up with your whole batch , have a test trial with a little bit mixed it.

And if you don't have any body oil or lotion at home, olive oil works wonders as well. This specific scrub gives you quite a lot of option to improvise  on your own and try out what works best for YOU ( like adding ginger, Cinnamon , lemon , sea salt and the ratio of coffee and sugar).

( Coffee is an old trick when it comes to beauty, It's  known for it's rich source of antioxidants, It protects against harsh sun rays, It makes skin smooth and bright and
It enhances circulation  ) .

.Manhattan soft compact powder.

It comes in , my opinion, good color variety :
  • Transparent,
  • Naturelle ,
  • Sable,
  • Beige,
  • Caramel,
  • Vanille,
  • Chocolat
It comes with a application pad (but I would advice against using it, since this way it is easy to apply way too much of it)

Result :  It does have a really nice silky matt finish, it does not cake up and I didn't notice that I would have to touch up at any point.

Also it's a wonderful powder to use at summer, with all the heat and dust outside and when you don't want to apply too much make up ( meaning, skip on the foundation ). It gives wonderful coverage.

All in all, I would really recommend it, especially as one of the summer make up products.

Cheers,
Ana.
